PEACE OF MIND - THE PRAGMA PROMISE TO EVERY ABSA CAPE EPIC CYCLIST
Physical asset management company Pragma once again joined forces with the organisers of the Absa Cape Epic to present yet another ultimate race experience. Thank you to co-sponsors Kranzle and Motorex for contributing to the excellent running of the bike wash.

The 2013 race marked Pragma's sixth year of formal involvement in the event. Year on year we have raised the bar on the quality of service delivery and riders have become expectant of and dependent on this important service in the race village.
"We have proven that every service we deliver at the race is approached professionally with detailed planning and competent workers to execute these tasks. We have made a significant investment to ensure that riders have peace of mind," says Adriaan Scheeres, CEO of Pragma.

In total Pragma's ABSA Cape Epic Field Services include the Finish Line Service, Bike Wash and the Bike Park in the race village. You can watch how we washed bikes at this link.

This year a major improvement was the inclusion of our own On Key Software reporting module, Analytics. This tool was employed to answer the question on each rider's lips who was eager to start servicing his bike, "How long will it take to wash my bike?" This year we could we could give them the actual time.

How does it work? Once we take a bike from a rider on the finish line, it is scanned onto the system, using remote scanners. The bike is then placed in the holding area, washed and then on exit to the bike park, scanned again to remove it from our system. A SMS is then sent to the rider, informing him or her that the bike was parked in the bike park. This helped us monitor the number of bikes we washed each day as well as the average time spent on washing the bikes. Below is the stats of the 2013 Bike wash as drawn form On Key Analytics.
