Dear Reader
Over the past couple of months we have seen many companies close their doors. We all know that the economy was a major contributing factor, but one does wonder how great an influence business intelligence was. At this year's conference we will cover three topics that will address business intelligence in the realm of physical asset management.
Register for the 16th Physical Asset Management Thought Leadership Conference
Are you the master of your game?
Whether you are in Mining, Infrastructure Management, Manufacturing or Facilities Maintenance, this is a question that is relevant to your operation and the way you take care of your assets. This is the question that will be directed to you at the 2010 PAMTL conference. We will challenge you on your asset management strategy's Performance Intelligence, Cost Intelligence and Risk Intelligence. You will be empowered to navigate your business path and become a master in your field, leading to optimised asset performance, cost reduction and contained risk.
International asset management guru, John Woodhouse from the Woodhouse Partnership, is our keynote speaker. He will be supported by speakers from different industries who will also share their knowledge, expertise and successes.
The conference will take place on the 11th and 12th of May at the Lagoon Beach Hotel in Cape Town. The conference has grown in popularity and attendance due to the conference team's ability to bring fresh, thought-provoking perspectives, best practices and new research on asset management and maintenance to the table.
The format differs each year to ensure that the conference does not become a stale item on regular attendees' annual agendas. It is further enhanced with a theme that complements the topics.
One of the highlights of the conference is the Pragma User Awards Function. During this function our users are rewarded for their asset management maturity. This year a new evaluation system (the Asset Care Centre Compliance Assessment) will be introduced to make the process even more transparent and fair. Independent consultants will determine the winners of the various categories.
