The PRAGMA Academy's range of courses aims at three organizational levels.
On the operational level courses such as The Fundamentals of Asset Management, Root Cause Analysis and Maintenance Planning&Scheduling are appropriate. On a management level, courses such as Maintenance Plan Development and Change Management will effectively support asset management improvement; while at the top management level the course on Strategy Development and Performance Measures would ads much value.
Fundamentals of Asset Management (3 days) The Fundamentals Course is the starting point of Pragma’s training delivery. It is an essential overview of the main 17 KPAs of modern Asset Management. The main outcome is the development of a sound foundation of Asset Management principles and best practices. Click here to view the course.
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (3 days) This course focuses on the Work Planning and Control KPA and is specifically developed for Maintenance Planners and Supervisors. Teaching maintenance planning and scheduling principles as well as developing the associated planning and scheduling skills are the main outcomes of this course. Click here to view the course.
Maintenance Plan Development (3 days) Pragma’s well known Maintenance Plan Development course covers everything in the Maintenance Tactics KPA. How to develop, manage and improve your Maintenance Program is the main objective and includes a thorough study of the different tactics available, failure modes and root cause analysis. Root Cause Analysis (2 days) Problem Solving is a dedicated process whereby weaknesses and threats are addressed in a systematic manner - not always waiting for the eventual failure to occur. Strategy Development & Performance Management (2 days) In benchmarking ‘world class’ asset management programs, it was found that they all had one thing in common: they were driven by executive management , around a specific set of tangible strategic intents. A good strategy provides the daily, weekly and annual work map embodying where the organisation and its asset management function are going. This course is delivered only in an on-site format as the client’s particular situation is considered. Click here to view the course.
Change Management within Asset Management (8 weeks distance learning) The best plans are useless unless they can be successfully implemented, and the primary cause of failure is often organisational culture and resistance to change. This unique course, presented by American expert Stephen Thomas, follows a distance learning model. Learners have to do weekly reading, watch weekly video clips and complete online assessments. There is also a weekly opportunity for internet based Q&A sessions with the trainer.
Project Management (2 days) Delivering a project on time, within budget and according to the desired quality standard is essential within the asset management environment. This course presents the latest planning and control techniques, particularly those used by project management software and the body of knowledge (APM BOK and PMIs PMBOK).
