ISO 55000 Overview and Implementation

What is it all about?

The long-awaited ISO 55000 standard for an asset management system was released in 2014 among a lot of excitement and hype.

This international standard specifies the requirements for the establishment, implementation, maintenance and improvement of a management system for asset management, referred to as an asset management system.

The standard consists of three parts: The standard itself, ISO 55001, which contains the criteria for certification, as well as ISO 55000 which covers some background principles and definitions, and ISO 55002 which provides application guidelines.

This course gives an overview of the standard and its underpinning principles, the journey to implementation and/or certification, as well as the potential benefits and pitfalls.

This training course is aligned with the GFMAM’s 39 Subjects with a specific focus on the following subjects: asset management policy, asset management strategy and objectives, demand analysis, strategic planning and asset management planning.

Who should attend?

  • Senior managers and executives in asset intensive organisations
  • Asset and maintenance managers
  • Production and operations managers
  • Maintenance and production engineers
  • Risk managers
