Having a long term maintenance work plan to motivate artisan complements and tactical maintenance budgets; perform resource balancing and ensure alignment with production.

Planning principles

Adhering to six planning principles as a foundation in establishing an effective planning.

Scheduling principles

Adhering to six scheduling principles as a foundation in establishing an effective scheduling function.

Accreditation

The course is accredited by merSETA (Provider accreditation number: 17-QA/ACC/0807/13) and aligned with unit standard, SAQA US ID: NLRD119180, NQF Level: 5 (Schedule and arrange maintenance and repairs for manufacturing operations).

Attendance is recognised by way of an attendance certificate. To be deemed competent, attendees will be registered by Pragma with merSETA and must submit a portfolio of evidence for assessment. Attendees who do not need a certificate of competence must acknowledge this in writing. A certificate of competence for 4 credits will be issued.
