On Key 5 System course – Advanced

What is it all about?

This blended training programme consists of various elearning modules and two virtual classroom contact sessions. The programme follows the proposed learning pathway for Engineering Planners and Maintenance Managers using On Key 5 in their working environment.

Getting Started

This module focuses on and allows users to Access On Key,Navigate,Installing Silverlight, Logging Off On Key, Viewing of Asset/Asset Type Tree Structures and the different grid lists and options. At the end of this module the learner is required to complete a Quiz relating to all material provided at which he/her would have to obtain a pass mark of 75% to proceed to the next Module.

Configuring On Key

This module focuses on basic configuration regarding master data that is required in order to execute the building of Asset Registers,Asset Type trees etc. It looks at the shared configuration of the system in terms of Site,Site Types,Documents and User Configuration.At the end of this module the learner is required to complete a Quiz relating to all material provided at which he/her would have to obtain a pass mark of 75% to proceed to the next Module.

Asset Register Basics

This module focuses on basic configuration of the building of Asset Registers,Asset Type trees etc.It encompasses principles of Assets and Asset types as well as a detailed simulations of creation of assets.asset types,component and the sychronisation and development process.At the end of this module the learner is required to complete a Quiz relating to all material provided at which he/her would have to obtain a pass mark of 75% to proceed to the next Module.

Accessing On Key Profiles

This module encorporates the basic ways in which data can be extrapolated and viewed based on the different requirements of certain users. It looks at the concepts of Profiles ,Charts and Tab Orders in On Key.

Staff Configuration

This module gives a general overview of Staff members in On Key. It enables the learner to configure the necessary pre requisite master data in terms of Sections,Trades and Calendars to subsequently configure a particular Staff member.At the end of this module the learner is required to complete a Quiz relating to all material provided at which he/her would have to obtain a pass mark of 75% to proceed to the next Module.

On Key Work Order Configuration

This module focuses on the relevant master data that is used in the creation and capturing of Work Orders.

On Key Time Loss Configuration

This module focuses on the various time loss categories,types and reasons that can be configured in On Key. It deals with time losses in regard to Work Order Downtimes which can be classified as Availability, Utilisation or Performance Losses.

Unscheduled Work Orders

This module focuses on how to execute transactions in On Key regarding work that needs to be done on equipment. It enables the user to understand the difference between a work request and a work order as well as to create Work Orders and Work Requests in On Key.At the end of this module the learner is required to complete a Quiz relating to all material provided at which he/her would have to obtain a pass mark of 75% to proceed to the next Module.

Validating Work Orders

This module focuses on how Work Orders should be validated. It is derived from best practices and shows you the basic understanding from an On Key perspective the process which work orders follow. This module will enable you to use On Key in allignment with the maintenance process you have in your organisation.At the end of this module the learner is required to complete a Quiz relating to all material provided at which he/her would have to obtain a pass mark of 75% to proceed to the next Module.

Planning

Planning is a crucial function of all Engineering Departments.This module gives a brief overview of planning in general and then focuses on the generation and creation of Scheduled maintenance activities in On Key and the prioritizing and confirmation of work to be executed. At the end of this module the learner is required to complete a Quiz relating to all material provided at which he/her would have to obtain a pass mark of 75% to proceed to the next Module.

On Key-Scheduling

This module gives a brief overview of scheduling in principle and how to schedule work orders in On Key. It explores the functionality of Scheduling Events, Manual Scheduling and Automatic Scheduling.At the end of this module the learner is required to complete a Quiz relating to all material provided at which he/her would have to obtain a pass mark of 75% to proceed to the next Module.

On Key Daily Allocation

Daily allocation is the final step in the Planning and Scheduling process. It involves looking at the work that needs to be performed and the time and labour resources available, and then assigning tasks appropriately.At the end of this module the learner is required to complete a Quiz relating to all material provided at which he/her would have to obtain a pass mark of 75% to proceed to the next Module.

Feedback On Work

This module focuses on the capturing of feedback from work orders back into the system. It outlines the crucial details that need to filled in on work orders as well as enables the user to execute these transactions in On Key.

On Key-Service Level Management

The Service Management functionality provides the ability to measure, monitor, and manage Service Level Agreements to ensure that work is completed within the expected time frame. This module will enable the learner to configure basic SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) within On Key and to set up and create Notifications and Triggers.
