Pragma secures investment to develop their next generation Enterprise Asset Management software

Pragma, leading physical asset management and engineering firm, has secured a significant investment to support the development of their next generation enterprise asset management system, On Key.

This move sees a global manufacturing client partnering with Pragma to include On Key into their new service and maintenance offering. The new capability will allow them to deliver improved asset support and performance across their entire range of equipment within the food and beverage sector. They will use the solution to support an enhanced reliability improvement and maintenance management programme across the globe.

“For more than a decade now, we have partnered with our client – a multinational equipment manufacturer – to assist them with asset management services. During this time, they actively contributed to enhancements to On Key from their industry knowledge and technical insight. We look forward to building on this relationship and developing a system that will lay the foundation for smarter asset management,” says Adriaan Scheeres, Pragma CEO.

When discussing development options with our client, it became clear that their interest to support the funding of On Key related to their understanding of how proper asset management practices improves their ability to deliver an effective service to customers. With the new system, they will be able to help them achieve even more significant savings, by better understanding how their assets are performing and how they can operate in the most efficient way possible. The system will also allow them to help customers future-proof their equipment and plants, maximising the opportunities presented by Industry 4.0 trends, through increased connectivity and digitisation.

“The fundamentals of asset and maintenance management practices are often common across industries. For this reason On Key can successfully deploy across a number of client segments. Our client is a global market leader who continuously strives to improve their value proposition to clients using technology to do this. With this investment we’ll benefit from a closer relationship not only in the development of this product but also learning from their way of thinking,” says Dirk Janse van Rensburg, MD of Pragma Research and Development.

The next generation On Key will be based on leading software architecture, to seamlessly integrate with other Enterprise Asset Management and ERP systems, as well as IIoT enabled devices and assets. The updated functionality and modular design will deliver a step change in its value proposition related to asset and facilities management.

“The development of On Key has and will continue to be done in support of best practice business processes, to optimise the life cycle of our client’s physical assets. On Key is being developed within an IIoT enabled ecosystem, to allow the enablement and continued integrity of the physical assets’ digital twin. Also, the new capabilities will allow our clients to reap the benefits of technologies such as machine learning, augmented reality and cloud computing,” says Stefan Swanepoel, Pragma’s EAMS Product Manager.

On Key is the result of decades of industry experience, focused research and dedication to delivering asset management value to both small and large enterprises across various industries. On Key’s development is the combined effort of a diverse team of engineers, analysts and dedicated software developers. Pragma has built a satisfied and loyal global client base in which On Key has proven its purposeful design, superior functionality and availability of knowledgeable support, and will continue to do so with future releases.
