Pragma takes lead on Shells New Global Shop Format in SA

After recognising the growing global trend of customers consuming ‘food and drink on the go’, Shell initiated the New Global Shop format project on a global scale. To make the concept a reality within the South African context, Pragma was tasked to oversee the implementation of the project. Since its launch in June 2014, the New Global Shop Format Lite (NGSF Lite) project is well on track.

After receiving the opportunity to manage the facelift of Shell Select Shops, implementation kicked off focusing on the completion of one shop per week. Under the guidance of Andre Cloete and Nico van der Westhuizen the project picked up momentum and at the end of 2014. Currently, 46 sites have been completed.

The final phase of the project will be overseen by Nico with the assistance of Nondumiso Sangweni and Tabile Mapekula, who recently joined the Pragma team in Midrand. An additional challenge that Nondumiso and Tabile will face is the implementation of the 40 remaining Shell Select Shops each featuring a Vida e Cafè. Due to the configuration and requirements of Vida e Cafè, these shops will take longer to be completed. In this phase of the project, three shops will be completed every two weeks. 3 sites completed to date

We look forward to completing the current list of Select Shops by the end of October, just in time for the festive season.
