The reticulation network at a local municipality has more than 600 pump stations across the region. Key challenges included frequent high failures of equipment with high resulting cost and consequence of critical equipment failure can have a significant negative impact on the public and environment. A criticality analysis was conducted on all pump stations within the reticulation network, and maintenance work is prioritised.
